Cooking Myth Revealed!

Have you ever heard that liquid measuring cups are slightly different than dry measuring cups? So if you use a dry measure cup to measure out oil or something in a recipe it's not as accurate?.....WRONG!! They are exactly the same...I mean a cup is a cup....

Spaghetti Easy! Easy! or is it?

I love making spaghetti! It has always been an easy no brainer for me. Well, after chatting with my bf, Pete, I guess it CAN be complicated! LOL!

The story:

Pete was in a hurry, SHOCKER I KNOW, and didn't think it would be a BIG deal if she put the spaghetti in BEFORE the water started to boil... hummm...the pasta literally became MUSH!  Maybe there is a reason it says "put in boiling water!" Dinner was interesting...

Lesson of the day: Read and FOLLOW the directions! :)

Love that my kids think they know how to cook with a crock pot! Put dried beans in the crock pot and it took DAYS to make the beans soft! Lesson learned- "Read the directions!"
